A [[:Character:Job:Starting Job|Starting Job]] offers a number of benefits gained only when it is selected during [[:Character:Character Creation]] and at no other time. These benefits include:
  * [[:Mechanic:Rating:Health]], [[:Mechanic:Rating:Mana]] and [[:Mechanic:Rating:Strain]] Bonuses
  * A number of [[:Character:General:Proficient|:Proficiencies]]
  * A number of [[:Character:Job:Starter Ability|Starter Abilities]]
  * A choice of starting [[:Character:Job:Budget]]

Should you take [[:Character:General:Rank]] 1 in another [[:Character:Job]] after [[:Character:Character Creation]] you do not gain any of the above benefits from that [[:Character:Job]].
