We do not recommend using these rules over the normal set, but some aspects of the game may be absent or in development, so please use these rules if needed.

===== Campaigns without Masteries =====
When playing a campaign without the use of masteries, substitute any mention of "gaining a <wrap preview>[[:Game Mechanics:Definitions:Rank]]</wrap> in a <wrap preview>[[:Masteries|Mastery]]</wrap>" with "gain a rank in any <wrap preview>[[:Skills|Skill]]</wrap>".\\

This <wrap preview>[[:Skills|Skill]]</wrap> <wrap preview>[[:Game Mechanics:Definitions:Rank]]</wrap> follows the normal restrictions of gaining <wrap preview>[[:Skills|Skill]]</wrap> <wrap preview>[[:Game Mechanics:Definitions:Rank|Ranks]]</wrap> such as <wrap preview>[[:Skills|Skill Rank Maximum]]</wrap> and those of <wrap preview>[[:Character:Character Creation]]</wrap>.
