This is the number used when a <wrap preview>[[:Stats|Stat]]</wrap> is part of calculating <wrap preview>[[:Ratings]]</wrap>, adding to <wrap preview>[[:Skills]]</wrap> or any other use of a given <wrap preview>[[:Stats|Stat]]</wrap>.\\

A <wrap preview>[[:Character|Character's]]</wrap> [[:Stats:Current Stats#Current Stats|Current Stats]] can be increased by [Spending Experience]. See [Spending Experience] for more details.\\

**Example**: Miles the <wrap preview>[[:Races:Human]]</wrap> <wrap preview>[[:Jobs:Ace]]</wrap> has 7 ranks in <wrap preview>[[:Stats:Agility]]</wrap>, this is both his <wrap preview>[[:Stats:Starter Stats|Starter]]</wrap> and [[:Stats:Current Stats#Current Stats|Current]] <wrap preview>[[:Stats:Agility]]</wrap>. Miles then spends 4 [Experience] to gain an additional rank of <wrap preview>[[:Stats:Agility]]</wrap>. Miles now has a [[:Stats:Current Stats#Current Stats|Current]] <wrap preview>[[:Stats:Agility]]</wrap> of 8 and a <wrap preview>[[:Stats:Starter Stats|Starter]]</wrap> <wrap preview>[[:Stats:Agility]]</wrap> of 7.
