Dice is a definitional term. A Die refers to any of the polyhedral objects used to determine Totals and outcomes in Meat Space.

While these dice are the recommended way to generate results, your table may have alternatives such as digital rollers, alternative shapes, and or novelty dice. As long as these alternatives are generating results with like values (ie. when prompted to do D8 damage, using something that can only generate results from 1 to 8) and the table agrees they are appropriate, you should feel empowered to use them. Digitally rolling D6 can come in quite handy when resolving large damage results.
