Luddite
Trait.
Luddites have no Cyberware, this includes the NeuraCore, DigiPlates and AestheSkin Cyberware all [Sapients] normally start with, nor can they ever install or have installed Cyberware on themselves with the following exception:
You may remove the Luddite Trait by installing the following three pieces of Cyberware at their stated costs:
All three do not have to be installed at the same time, but you can't install any other Cyberware until you have installed all three of these.
However, due to not having any cybernetic connectivity, you are immune to the effects of [Slicing] and [Netrunning] [Abilities]. You can't access the [Cyber Space], but likewise cannot be effected by it. This may have other effects, in relation to wireless technology or technology in general. Make sure to have discussions, as needed, to make sure your [PC] is [Appropriately] effected, both positively and negatively by the Luddite Trait.
Wuntches Whatever
An important reminder, in the Sci-fi world of Meat Space, almost EVERYTHING is operated through your in-built Cyberware; doors, vehicles, microwaves, financial transactions, if in our time you would use a manual keypad, key, handle, cash, etc to do something, in Meat Space your Federation Standard Cyberware would do it instead; Though some areas will still accommodate those lacking in tech, offering accessways or physical Credit Chips, they are not overly common. This in effect means your character is going to have a tough time existing in modern society.
This isn't all bad though, having a character that can't microwave a burrito without help can lead to fun RP moments and interesting build choices you may not make otherwise. Taking the Luddite Trait may feel like a downside, because it is, but there are some benefits as well, like you can't be hacked, be it from either Slicing or Netrunning. You ain't got no circuits in your noggin to fry, so get out there and be a menace to technology!
