Ash's Aside
Digital Interfaces are the standard form of interface in Federation Space. It is similar to a USB Port, charging a phone or tapping a credit card. Roughly 80-90% of technology has a Digital Interface, such as doors, taps, lights, machinery, Vehicles, industrial tech, and anything else that is technological in nature. This means things like handles, levers, steering wheels and other such manual technology doesn't exist. DigiPlates don't really provide an advantage to a player, they just allow the player to interact with the world, otherwise, It is typically assumed that a Luddite would need someone else to open doors, pay for things, flush the toilet and maybe even operate Vehicular Components, unless they are custom designed for manual use. This is common enough, but usually comes with an extra cost. In short, not having DigiPlates should feel like a pain in the arse.
