Dice

A Die refers to any of the polyhedral objects used to determine Totals and outcomes in Meat Space.

Meat Space uses a set of commonly available polyhedral Dice that includes:

  • A D4. A pyramid with Results 1 to 4.
  • A D6. A cube with Results 1 to 6.
  • A D8. An Octahedron with Results 1 to 8.
  • A pair of D10. 2 Pentagonal trapezohedrons one of which has Results 0 to 9 (0 represents 10), the other with Results 00 to 90.
  • A D12. A Dodecahedron with Results 1 to 12.
  • A D20. An Icosahedron with Results 1 to 20.
  • A D100. The pair of D10's combined to generate Results of 1 to 100. (Accomplished by using the 2 digit D10 to represent the 10's and the single digit D10 to represent the 1's).
    • Example 1: A Result of 7 on the single digits and a Result of 40 on the double digits would give you a D100 Result of 47.
    • Example 2: A Result of 0 on the single digits and a Result of 00 on the double digits would give you a D100 Result of 100. Results of 0 can not be generated.

Wuntches Whatever
While these dice are the recommended way to generate results, your table may have alternatives such as digital rollers, alternative shapes, and or novelty dice. As long as these alternatives are generating results with like values (ie. when prompted to do D8 damage, using something that can only generate results from 1 to 8) and the table agrees they are appropriate, you should feel empowered to do use them. Digitally rolling D6 can come in handy.
