Miscast or Miscasting

A Miscast occurs when:

  • A Character fails an Invocation by rolling a Natural 1 on one of their Checks.
  • A Character does not have the required mana to cast an Invocation when it resolves.
  • Using Wild Magic and failing as specified by the ability or the GM.

Miscasting causes the failure of the Invocation or Action being attempted and additionally causes the player to roll on the Miscast Table
