Miscast

Miscasting is the loss of control of the astral winds and the resulting magical backlash.
This backlash is represented by a number of side effects detailed in the Miscast Table below.
When a Character Miscasts they must roll a D20. The Result of the D20 is your Total. Compare this Total to the Miscast Table below. You now resolve the effect of the Miscast equal to the Total.
Miscast Table
| Total | Name | Effect |
|---|---|---|
| 1 | Feedback | You lose all remaining Mana and then suffer True Damage equal to the Mana lost. |
| 2-5 | Unstable Flow | You suffer D6 Mana Damage then suffer True Damage equal to the Mana lost. |
| 6-10 | Temporarily Severed | You are unable to spend Mana until the start of your next [Turn]. |
| 11-15 | Astral Turbulence | You suffer D4 Strain Damage. |
| 16-19 | Arcane Hiccup | You restore 1 Mana. |
| 20 | Uncontrolled Surge | You restore D4 Mana and suffer D6 Strain Damage. |
