Apparel Upgrades

Apparel Upgrades are beneficial modifications you may apply to your Apparel with the help of skilled merchants or through a characters own skill in Tech or Masteries such as Fabrication, Mechanics, or Industrial.

Most Upgrades have restrictions on what types of Apparel they may be installed on, this is indicated by the Upgrade's Archetype and Subtype, if an upgrade shares an Archetype AND Subtype with the Item you wish to install it on, you may do so, if it does not share an Archetype or Subtype then you may not.

Both Upgrades and Apparel have Brawn Requirements, when adding an Upgrade to an Item, the Greater of the two Brawn Requirements is the Items new Brawn Requirement ( For Example: An Adamantium Plating Mk. 3 has a Brawn Requirement of 8 and if installed in a AstroHazard Robe, Which has a Brawn Requirement of 3, would increase the Requirement to 8. )

An Item can only ever have a single Plating Upgrade installed. A Plating Upgrade is an Upgrade with the word Plating in its name.
