The Golden Rules

Consent is key

Consent is a core principle of many TTRPGS and Meat Space is no exception. [Players] should feel welcome at their table and empowered to enjoy themselves with friends. Consent means everyone has chosen to participate and agreed to respect each other, when this ceases to be the case, consent is withdrawn or breached and a conversation should be had if possible.

The GM is a Player too

Everyone playing Meat Space is a [Player]. The [GM] is no exception, they are still a [Player], their fun and say matters as much as everyone elses.

Aesthetic is yours.

The rules in Meat Space are kept as detached from a physical description as possible as we wish you the [Player] to be empowered to make your [Character] and what they wear look however you please, your aesthetic comes first in matters of taste. This includes gender expression, while [Races] may have biological sex, it is up to each individual how they present and express themselves and not for other [Players] to comment on.

Cinema. Absolute.

When playing the goal should be to tell a cinematic story. Often times a group of [Characters] in Meat Space will be a collection specialists, a team where each individual member has a moment where they shine the brightest, think along the lines of movies such as Oceans Eleven where an entire scene is dedicated to the excellence of one person. Meat space is designed to let the individual rock their scene and create memorable movie moments, so when your time has come, be ready to perform!

Mechanics are Fun

Meat Space is a mechanically rich TTRPG and is so for a reason. [Players] should relish whenever they get to use a cool [Ability] unique to their [Character], overcome a menacing challenge that their [Character] is built for or even using an [Item] they've had in reserve for just the right time. Be loud and proud with your numbers and [Abilities], the game part of a TTRPG is there to be fun and be shared with each other, there are even many [Abilities] that allow a [Character] to help you out in the moment, so try and play in way that invites others into your turns.
