-====== Health ======
-[[:Ratings:Health#Health|Health]] is a <wrap preview>[[:Character|Character's]]</wrap> physical wellbeing and vitality in a fight.

-<wrap preview>[[:Character|Characters]]</wrap> have a base [[:Ratings:Health#Health|Health]] equal to their <wrap preview>[[:Stats:Brawn]]</wrap> plus the [[:Ratings:Health#Health|Health]] bonus from their <wrap preview>[[:Game Mechanics:Definitions:Starting Job]]</wrap>. Additional [[:Ratings:Health#Health|Health]] can be gained from sources such as <wrap preview>[[:Masteries]]</wrap>, <wrap preview>[[:Items]]</wrap> and [Cyberware].
-
-When any single instance of [Damage] would reduce a <wrap preview>[[:Character|Character's]]</wrap> [[:Ratings:Health#Health|Health]] to 0 or be dealt to [[:Ratings:Health#Health|Health]] while at 0, any remaining [Damage] from that instance is ignored. The <wrap preview>[[:Character|Character]]</wrap> must then choose to either:
-  * **Go down safely**: You gain the [Downed] <wrap preview>[[:Game Mechanics:Conditions|Condition]]</wrap> until the end of the [Encounter].
-  OR
-  * **Fight on**: You generate an <wrap preview>[[:Game Mechanics:Injury]]</wrap>.

-Collapsing in a fight may seem like a bad idea, but not losing an arm is a pretty good one. Choosing to go down safely in an encounter should generally be a positive choice, most enemies with sapience wont waste much time trying to finish someone off who's already out of the fight. But be warned, should the entire cast fall or your fighting a mindless and hungry creature, dont be surprised if your enemy shows no quarter, finishing off the group or ripping the weakest link to shreds.
