I.C.E.

I.C.E. or Intelligent Countermeasure Enforcers, is semi-sapient software, tasked to defend websites, cyberlanes and data fortresses of the Cyber Space. They are typically employed by Netrunners and Corporations to defend various networks and nodes, where a simple Firewall or other cyber security program won't cut it against the offensive capabilities of advanced Slicers or fully sapient and intelligent Netrunners. While true A.I, or Artificial Intelligence, and lethal I.C.E. are banned by Federation Laws, they do exist, and have killed many ambitious Netrunners.
