R.A.M.
R.A.M. is a Rating available to Entities. It represents an Entity's ability to store programs when Netcrafting, Slicing or Hacking, as well as its defence against dangerous I.C.E..
A Character's R.A.M. Rating is equal to their Smarts. In addition a Character, unless specified otherwise, only gains a R.A.M. Rating while a NeuroCore is installed in them. For [Vehicles], facilities or other non-Character Entities, their R.A.M. is gained from their [Components], [Class] or Abilities.
Unlike Health, Mana or Strain, Damage and costs that would reduce your R.A.M. instead [Reserve] that much R.A.M. until the start of your next Turn when it is then restored to its maximum. A Characters R.A.M. may also be [Reserved] for longer periods of time by certain Abilities, such as those that summon Programs from the Netcraft Mastery .
Please Note: D'jinn Characters, while unable to intall a NeuroCore, still gain R.A.M. due to their Electromagnetic Form Ability.
